Tasiujaq

Tasiujaq is a village of 303 people located on the shores of Leaf Bay near Ungava Bay, about 1900 km north of Montreal. Its name means “which resembles a lake” in Inuktitut.

The community of Tasiujaq is interested in learning more about renewable energy solutions to reimagine a future without diesel. In the coming years, Tarquti in partnership with the local Co-op and the Landholding will engage with local entities to create a Community Energy Plan and build an Energy Team.
