Nunavik Interest Towards Clean Energy Transition Take the survey now!
Akulivik is a community of 515 souls that takes its name from surrounding geography. Located 1900 kilometers north of Montreal, Akulivik is situated on a peninsula between two bodies of water along the Hudson Bay which resembles a “kakivak” (a trident-shaped spear used for fishing).
At the moment, the community of Akulivik appears to be interested to learn more about clean energy solutions to reimagine a future without the need for diesel. In the coming years, Tarquti is hoping to accompany Akulivik’s local entities to create a Community Energy Plan and build an Energy Team composed of a Community Energy Champion.
