Nunavik Interest Towards Clean Energy Transition Take the survey now!
Situated at the northwest extremity of Nunavik where Hudson’s Bay meets Hudson Strait is Ivujivik. The region is renowned for its strong currents and, as a result, its rich marine flora and fauna, large bird colonies, and abundant marine mammals.
The community of Ivujivik is interested in learning more about renewable energy solutions to reimagine a future without diesel. In the coming years, Tarquti in partnership with the local Co-op and the Landholding will engage with local entities to create a Community Energy Plan and build an Energy Team to develop renewable energy projects.
