Nunavik Interest Towards Clean Energy Transition Take the survey now!
Aupaluk is the smallest community in Nunavik, with a population of 150. It is 1900 km north of Montreal and is located on the western shore of the Ungava Bay. Aupaluk means “where the earth is red” in Inuktitut, which describes the iron-rich soil of the region.
At the moment, the community of Aupaluk appears to be interested to learn more about clean energy solutions to reimagine a future without the need for diesel. In the coming years, Tarquti is hoping to accompany Aupaluk’s local entities to create a Community Energy Plan and build an Energy Team composed of a Community Energy Champion.
